Antique Netsuke Late 19th century Meiji Era Netsuke in the form of Daikoku and Ebisu with a young attendant on Daikoku’s large treasure sack. Signed "Kogyoku" on lacquer plaque. Well carved and expertly modeled. Antique ivory. Old  age crack at interior of himatoshi cavity. Daikoku, in Japanese mythology, one of the Shichi-fuku-jin (Seven Gods of Luck); the god of wealth and guardian of farmers. Ebisu, in Japanese mythology, also one of the Shichi-fuku-jin is the patron of fishermen and tradesmen.  *Note*  this item is a restricted trade item and antique that meets the requirements of CITES documentation. 1 1/2” Long 3/4” Tall
