Japanese Stained Ivory Netsuke - Osaka, mid-19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) A finely stained and carved ivory netsuke depicting a man holding a pick and dragging an oversized cauldron. Signed "Shukosai Anraku". From the collection of Robert DuPont. Height 1".

Netsuke were small intricately carved toggles worn by men for centuries before the adoption of western dress.  *Note*  this item is a restricted trade item and antique that meets the requirements of CITES documentation. 1 1/2” Tall.
