Handcrafted from Enamel and Pewter Dachshund, German for “badger dog”, is a breed of hunting dog having short legs, a long body, and long ears. The dog was originally developed in Germany to drive badgers from their holes, which the dogs could enter because of their short legs. The necklace is cast from pewter and then gold plated. The rich enamels are applied and it is then fired in a kiln, creating a glass-like finish. The box is then accented with Austrian lead crystal jewels. Pendant 1" long.
