The Cherub is the youthful image of Eros. Eros was the Greek god of love and Cupid's counterpart. The little cherub, also know as a putto or amorino, was a popular decorative motif during this period. The design for these earrings originated in Germany and is part of the Dingeldein Collection of master silver patterns at The Historic New Orleans Collection. Made in USA.
They measure .75" tall by .25" wide with a drop length of 1.75".
