Eric Gourieux is a retired physician, father of four and a highly skilled wood turner. This hollow form vessel is hand turned from a solid piece of Spalted Sycamore. Spalted Sycamore is technically not a specific species of Sycamore, but rather a general description of any type of Sycamore that has been infested by a fungus that discolors the wood.
