This natural hand woven basket is known as a Changair - a flat-plate shaped basket with lifted edges to be used as tableware. Changair shallow baskets are traditionally used to serve bread but look equally beautiful on their own as an ensemble on any dinner table or as home decor. These hand woven treasures are made with locally harvested date tree leaves wrapped around river grass in a single stitch coil. All are intricately hand woven by skilled weavers in Fair-Trade cooperatives from all over Pakistan.
