American Victorian 1880’s This remarkable ornament was handcrafted in a Victorian household in the 1880’s. Ladies magazines of the day included directions for ornament making. To create the ornaments, they would embellish the die cuts with wire tinsel, spun glass, colored cellophane, crepe paper and sometimes cotton batting. This exceptional ornament is crafted from cardboard and tinsel and has embossed gold Dresden anchors to compliment the colorful Sailor Boy. A beautiful and rare example in very fine condition. 8" Tall X 5" wide.
