This beautifully crafted glass bead bracelet is made of Venetian glass, produced on the island of Murano near Venice, Italy. Venetian glassmaking was documented as early as 982 A.D., a tradition of over a thousand years. Artisans fashion each bead individually from layers of molten glass fused around a copper wire held over a flame. The beads are acid etched to create their unique finish.
