Matt's education and early work experience were in the field of engineering. Matt started designing his own work in the late 1980's and in 1995 he began exhibiting as an independent artist. In 2004 he built his glass studio in Vermont, in the valley of the Lamoille River - with the Green Mountains rising to the north and the south of the river. Hand blown and finished.
