American Victorian 1880’s This colorful Santa ornament was handcrafted in a Victorian household in the 1880’s. Ladies magazines of the day included directions for ornament making. To create the ornaments, they would embellish the die cuts with wire tinsel, spun glass, colored cellophane, crepe paper and sometimes cotton batting. This rare ornament is crafted from cardboard and tinsel and has a full color Santa chromolithograph with a background of crepe paper. A beautiful and rare example in very fine condition. 5" Tall x 4" wide.
