Turkey Fair-Trade Traditional folklore has spoken of guardian angels who guide and protect us. The word ‘angel’ is derived from the Greek word aggelos, or messenger. The angel is the messenger of God and humankind. Individually handcrafted from borosilicate glass, each minute detail is created over an open flame, making each sculpture one-of-a-kind. Skillful glass blowers in a Fair-Trade cooperative in Turkey carry on these artisan traditions handed down from one generation to the next. A gentle turn of the angel will allow the sculpture to spin.
