Hand cast Pewter and hand painted enamel hinged box This charming box depicts the Atlantic Puffin (Fratercula arctica), a seabird in the auk family. Also known as the Common Puffin, it is the only puffin species which is found in the Atlantic Ocean. The box is hand cast from pewter and plated with 22k gold. The vibrant enamels are applied and the box is fired in a kiln to a high temperatures creating the glass-like finish. Accented with Austrian lead crystals.
