This stunning basket is a true work of the basket makers art. It is designed and handcrafted by Mayan women in a fair-trade cooperative in Guatemala. It is made of pine needles and pajon, a native Guatemalan grass. Created by a Fair-Trade cooperative in LaFe Guatemala.

"Chumil," the Kaqchikel word for "star." Skillfully woven from longleaf pine needles, pajón, a native grass in Guatemala), and raffia, with a central star design rendered in shades of green, this basket is beautiful for display but also entirely functional.
