Hand cast Pewter and hand painted enamel hinged top box The beagle was developed primarily for hunting hare. The Beagle has a great sense of smell and superior tracking instincts. The beagle is the primary breed used as a detection dog in security. The box is cast from pewter and then gold plated. The rich enamels are applied and the box is fired in a kiln, creating a glass-like finish. The box is then accented with Austrian lead crystal jewels. 3"T X 2 1/2" L
