Reaching out with it’s long spiraling arms, the Whirlpool galaxy is certainly a celestial beauty. Located 23 million light years away from Earth in the constellation Canes Vanatici, this was the first to be recognized as a Spiral Galaxy. Hand crafted in Seattle by artists using recycled glass and ash from Mt. St. Helens.
