Handcrafted from porcelain clay in China The art of Chinese ceramics flourished during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) One of the major developments during this time was the introduction of sancai, or ‘three color’ glazes. The term probably referred to the most common colors of amber, cream and green although blue and black were also used. Sometimes only one or two colors were applied in the sancai manner, referring to the method of splashing glaze onto the form. Horses are 4" to 5 1/2" Tall.
