Hand cast Pewter and hand painted enamel hinged box The Arabian horse is a breed of horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years. The box is cast from pewter and then gold plated. The vibrant enamels are applied, and the box is fired in a kiln, creating a glass-like finish. The box is then accented with Austrian lead crystal jewels. Size: 3-3/4" x 3-1/4"
