The first Russian nesting doll (matryoshka) was born in 1890 in the workshop "Children's Education" situated in Abramtsevo estate new Moscow. This beautifully painted Christmas Tree is hand turned from aged linden wood and then meticulously hand painted, detailed and lacquered. It has hand cut wooden ornaments arranged around the tree which makes this one extra special. Open it to reveal Santa and a snowman! Artist signed. Set of 3. Largest 7" T x 2 1/2" diameter.
